My work is about atmosphere as much as subject – boats, waves, harbours and shores all help me to explore calm, reflective scenes that feel both peaceful and alive.
I’m especially interested in how the sea can hold both movement and stillness at the same time. There is a particular kind of silence that lives besides the sea – not emptiness but presence. The hush before a wave breaks, the pause between wind gusts and the reflective stillness of water holding the sky.
In my work the silence becomes image.

Original canvas paintings

Hand-painted, one-of-a-kind canvases created in my Newquay studio. Each work delivers vibrant energy and distinctive presence, ready to hang in your home or gallery wall.

Using the flexibility of Acrylic paints I am able to express atmospheres and rhythms using the blues and greens prevalent in Ocean and Sea scenes, but also able to expand the colour palette to Reds, Oranges and Yellows by encompassing the changing lights generated by both the sun and the moon.

Every painting comes with a certificate of authenticity and unless stated otherwise are unique, one-off works

Each piece will be sent first class currently by Royal Mail. The delivery time in the UK is usually around 3 days.

The price includes not only the Painting, but first class delivery and a certificate of authenticity which I sign and send with each piece,

This is standard across the Art world and is based on between 25pence -50pence per square centimetre. The exact amount depends on the cost of the paint and medium used and the complexity and time spent to produce the finished piece
